Arquitectonica completed the 48-story Five Park tower in Miami Beach, a landmark as it is the tallest structure in the district in over a decade. The 519-foot-tall (158 meters) tower sits perfectly at the entrance to South Beach, at the southern tip of Miami Beach. The development comprises 227 luxury condominiums and offers a comprehensive 50,000 square feet of amenities, such as a restaurant, pool deck, and spa.
It was led by Miami real-estate developer David Martin of Terra Group and Russell Galbut of GFO Investments, with Arquitectonica as the lead architectural firm. The interiors of the tower were designed by New York-based Gabellini Sheppard.
Five Park is known for its unique elliptical design, with two offset floors in the middle, and hence a gap between them. Shaped like the waves and vibrant ecosystem, the tower provides 360-degree views of Miami Beach. The raised podium faces Biscayne Bay, housing a pool deck and an amenity floor on top. It should harmonize function, beauty, and sustainability and stand as a landmark that harmonizes itself with the city’s culture and natural landscape.
The building is being hailed as a gateway to Miami Beach, offering newly available luxury residences in a market where skyscrapers have been largely absent for the past decade. The project also includes the nearby, public Canopy Park, a three-acre green space that opened in 2022, and a pedestrian bridge designed by French artist Daniel Buren, which will span over the MacArthur Causeway, with construction scheduled to begin this month after facing delays.
Five Park joins a string of new skyscrapers reshaping Miami’s skyline, along with other projects by Arquitectonica and joint ventures with global fashion and automotive brands.
