Rustic & Rooted: A Local Alternative for Home Goods and Gifts in Englewood

Toni and Jeff Stoltz, the owners of Rustic & Rooted, a new home goods store in Englewood, aim to provide a unique and local shopping experience for area residents seeking quality decor and gifts. Located at 30 Main St. in downtown Englewood, the store opened its doors in September, offering a refreshing alternative to big-box retailers.

Inspired by their shared passion for antique shopping, home decor, and plant care, the couple transformed an old communications office building into a charming boutique. Recognizing a gap in the local market, they sought to create a space that would cater to the community’s needs.

“We realized that Englewood lacked a local option for gifts and home decor, with only big corporations like Walmart or Meijer available,” Toni explained. “We wanted to offer something different, a little of everything, whereas Log Cabin Comforts down the street specializes in antiques.”

Toni, formerly employed in the medical field, and Jeff, a framing contractor, combine wholesale purchases with handmade merchandise to curate a distinctive selection of items. Their store features a wide range of products, including home decor, house plants, kitchen essentials, men’s grooming products, goat milk soy candles, and a baby line. Jeff’s handmade creations, crafted from barn wood, have proven particularly popular, with seasonal items like decorative rabbits, Christmas trees, birdhouses, and wall hangings flying off the shelves.

The community has responded enthusiastically to Rustic & Rooted, with a strong showing during the Christmas season and continued support as the business grows. Toni expressed gratitude for the warm welcome, saying, “The response has been so positive and wonderful.”
